Vanguard Team

The Vanguard Team brings together a unique combination of skills in the oil and gas industry. This includes Geophysics and Reservoir Engineering, Process Engineering, Marine Engineering, Vessel Conversion skills and Marine Operations. Project Management and Oilfield Project Finance are also key skills within the team. This combination of skills and experience gives us the ability to understand, respond and successfully meet the requirements of our clients.

Key team members include:-

Michael Barraclough, BEc, MEI; Managing Director, London:  

30 years in the offshore industry in Australia and the UK, the last 16 of them in senior management positions in Floating Production with P&0, Bluewater and Vanguard.

Bessel van der Vliet, Director, Houston: 

35 years experience in the offshore industry in marine operations and senior management positions in the UK, USA and  Middle East, with Zapata Marine, Vetco, Lamnalco and Vanguard.

Eric Bosshard PhD, D.sc.nat.ETH, MEI, Finance and Project Director, London: 

35 years in the oil industry and in merchant banking and project finance, with senior management positions with Shell, Carless PLC, Union PLC, and Arbuthnot Latham.

Ron Fletcher, Manager, Perth, Australia: 

30 years experience in the oil and gas, marine and harbor towage industries in Australia and regionally, with Woodside, P & O, Adsteam and others, with particular experience of marine operations in Western Australia and New Zealand.
